1. Book Review #1- 1984 by George Orwell

I was watching one of the videos of my favourite youtuber, Pewdiepie, and it was one of his ‘book-review’ videos. While watching that I realized that I too have just finished a book and, given that I have promised to actively upload on this blog, it won’t be such a bad idea to review it. So, here it is, the first of the series, my review of the book: 1984 by George Orwell. …

  2. Let's have an action plan, shall we?

Now that I have started my summer research fellowship, I know what I am going to work on and with whom. My topic of research for the summer is Quantum to classical transition using weak continuous measurements. Yep, big boy stuff. I have only had a first interaction with my advisor till now, who seems like a really cool guy. He gave me a set of problems to solve with the intention that while solving those problems I will get some insight into what the work entails. We’ll see how that goes. …

  3. Exam week

Exam week (or fortnight actually, as they start on May 1 and end on May 12, but the former has a ring to it and so we’ll stick with it), arguably the only time I wish I wasn’t in college. So, I see exams as means to an end: I’ve got to do it because I’ve got to do it and once they are done I can get back to studying what I like and how I like to do it. …

  4. To-do list for the summer

Summer break is about to begin. And boy do I have a lot of work to do. Why, you ask? It is because I want to learn as much as I can while I still can. While running towards trying to know everything, I hope I am not leaving loopholes in my concepts. But that is the concern for another post. …

  5. New blog!!

Yayy! Seems we have some upgrades. I have a new blog. Why? Because change is a good thing. I recently switched from Windows 10 to Arch Linux with GNOME and decided to shift my blog from blogspot to one using Jekyll. One of the major motivations for this step was the easy use of LaTeX on the new blog. In the earlier one I had to first write the equations using LaTeX, compile them and take a screenshot of the output and insert it as an image in my blog. Now, I can just do this, …
